Paying tribute to two of their successful models, Toyota has announced new trim levels for both the 2022 Camry and RAV4, including a hybrid engine for the RAV4 SE.

The announcement comes as Toyota celebrates 25 years of RAV4 sales in North America. While hybrid engines have been available on the RAV4 since 2016, the new RAV4 Hybrid SE trim has been designed as a sporty, efficient model-- expected to launch with a lower starting price than the XSE. It comes standard with monotone paint, fabric trimmed seats, and a 7-inch touchscreen.

Optional packages include a weather package, boasting heated seats, a heated steering wheel and rain-sensing wipers, as well as a convenience package. This throws in a height-adjustable power liftgate, a moonroof and a 9-inch touchscreen.

Pricing on the 2022 RAV4, along with additional details, is expected to debut in mid-December.

The Camry, on the other hand, is celebrating nearly 20 years of being America’s top selling passenger car by introducing the new SE Nightshade edition. It features 18-inch black wheels, tied together with black trim pieces adorning the antenna, window trims, badgining, door handles and mirror caps.

The 2022 Camry boasts 18 different configurations: the V6 XLE, XSE and TRD, and the 4-cylinder LE, XLE, SE, SE Nightshade and XSE, all of which are available as front or all-wheel drive, and may also be equipped with five hybrid models.

After destination fees, the Camry is expected to start at $26,320; the SE Nightshade in FWD is expected to start at $28,560.
