If hair-raising performance roadsters are not quite your bag, then take heart, because Mercedes-Benz has released the larger C63 AMG Coupe for 2012. The C63’S serious V8 punch comes from the familiar 6.2-liter V8, hammering out 451 horsepower. The optional Development Package pumps that even higher to 481 horses. That’s nearly 70 more horses than the current M3.

Like the SLK55, the C63 Coupe benefits from just about every upgrade in the AMG arsenal. And it’s monstrous power and stunning performance shows that every time we think AMG can’t top themselves, they do!

Final proof of that is the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe. A race track ready asphalt-eating monster, the C63 Black Series takes everything to thrilling extremes. Even more aggressive than the C63 AMG, the Black Series boasts 510-horsepower from its 6.2 V8, a truly track-ready adjustable suspension, and revised bodywork that maximizes engine cooling and down force, which is further bolstered by the available carbon fiber adjustable rear wing.

Even the cabin gets the track treatment, with carbon fiber racing seats up front….And no seats in the back, though they are available if you want to take three passengers on the ride of their lives.

Of course awesome doesn’t come cheap, with the C63 AMG starting at over $62,000, and the Black Series costing almost 100-grand!
