First Impressions
2017 Aston Martin DB11
Episode 3643
For over a century, Aston Martin has been blending British posh and performance into rarified grand touring automobiles. The 2017 Aston Martin DB11 advances that tradition to a new strata.
Replacing the DB9 after its 13 year run, the DB11 is simply stunning from any and all angles. And, that beauty comes with plenty of brawn; a twin turbo V12 outputting 600 h-p; 60 more than its predecessor. That may place it squarely in the ultra-high performance car territory, but the DB11 remains, first and foremost, a more relaxed Grand Tourer.
GREG CARLOSS: “This is refined, it’s quiet minus some road noise coming in from the back, but I’ll attribute that to the V12 being so subdued in casual driving. Of course, a switch up into sport mode and a heavy right it gets rid of that pretty quickly…/// whoo… as you can see this thing has a lot of torque that will easily spin those rear wheels”.
JOHN DAVIS: The impeccable interior has many obviously hand-fitted details. The push button shift is easy to reach, with a solid feel as it transmits your desires to the 8 speed ZF automatic. Naturally there are a variety of drive modes… but the suspension can be changed independently… adding to its custom appeal.
The 2017 Aston Martin DB11 is on sale now starting just over $210,000.
