We all know the Jeep brand is about a lot more than just the Wrangler; especially internationally where vehicles like this Jeep Compass are major players in the global utility scene.  For 2022, the Compass gets a reboot with both more style and more substance.

The biggest changes come inside; there’s a new center console with available 10-inch Uconnect screen, 10-inch TFT digital instrument cluster, new steering wheel, and heated rear seats, plus more space for small items.

The exterior gets a new face with tweaks to both Jeep’s trademark grille and lower fascia; the Trailhawk going a step further with its own design that is more unique looking than before.

Mechanically, it’s mostly the same, 177-horsepower 2.4-liter I4 engine and either a 6 or 9-speed automatic transmission dependent on whether you stick with front-wheel-drive or opt for all-wheel-drive.  But, the suspension gets a retune to both smooth out the ride and heighten steering response.

Brian Robinson: “Being a front-wheel-drive car based utility, the Compass may get looked down upon by some; but truth is, there’s more than enough capability there for the buyers it’s intended for.  And now with an interior that is both more comfortable and more functional, it’s an even more compelling option in the very crowded small SUV field.”

The 2022 Jeep Compass will arrive in dealerships this fall with a starting price right around $25,000.
