I'm in Santa Fe, New Mexico driving the all new Lexus LX600. It's the most luxurious and biggest vehicle Lexus offers. for 2022, it’s been totally revamped from the ground up. It's available in 5 trim levels. I'll be driving two today. and even taking one off-roading. It's going to be a great day. I'm really excited.

The Lexus LX600 base model has two rows of seats-enough for five-passengers. Luxury and tech are everywhere. Two touchscreens are standard-and one is large at 12.3 inches.

The LX600 Premium is one level up, it can fit seven people and has power flat-folding third row seats.

For a sportier ride, There’s the LX600 F Sport. As you can see, it features a completely different front grille, 22-inch alloy wheels and a limited-slip differential.

The LX 600 Luxury defines itself with upscale leather and a 25-speaker surround sound system.

Then there’s the LX600 Ultra Luxury. It is a chauffeured focused vehicle. Instead of three rows you will find rear captain's chairs that recline and have built in massagers...there’s even a power rear foot rest.

The Lexus LX600 is powered by a 3.5-liter twin-turbocharged V6 that makes 409-horsepower and 479 pound feet of torque.

It has a 10 speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive is standard.

The LX600 rides on a new platform. It's the same chassis that’s shared with the Toyota Tundra and Land Cruiser.

It’s lighter and has a lower center of gravity than the previous LX 570 which means the LX 600 drives sharper and fuel economy is improved.

A lot of people who buy this SUV may never take it off-roading, but they really should! This SUV is SO capable! Going through the dirt in … climbing hills and coming down were no brainers. Thanks to high tech features!

To use crawl control, for example, you just turn a knob to set the speed you want the vehicle to crawl at-then you steer. Plus, the system changes settings like traction control and throttle response automatically depending on your terrain-and it's all standard.

During my travels off-roading in New Mexico, I also noticed how quiet this SUV is…which is really nice.

It seems like the LX600 has all the tech, safety and driver assistance features you could ever want in a vehicle. It starts at just under $87,000 and is expected to be in dealer showrooms soon.

We will have much more on the new Lexus LX600 coming up on MotorWeek!
