One of the most phenomenal things about the Porsche 911 GT3 is that despite the mind-blowing performance, it can easily be used as a daily driver.  And, for those that do just that, Porsche is now offering a 2022 911 GT3 with Touring Package.

The Touring Package first became available with last generation’s GT3, only now a 7-speed PDK is available to replace the standard 6-speed manual; whereas it’s the PDK that’s standard in the regular GT3.

Most notably, the Touring Package eliminates the GT3’s large fixed wing, replacing it with a self-deploying rear spoiler. Finer details include silver trim, full body-color front fascia, and unique grillwork.

Inside, the optional leather is nicer looking and more comprehensive; plus, dark brushed aluminum trim, and more customization options than in the standard GT3. Most importantly, everything below deck and under the rear hatch remains the same; which means a track-worthy suspension setup and 502 screaming horsepower from the naturally-aspirated 4.0-liter flat-6.

Brian Robinson: “Being the fly-beneath-the-radar unassuming type myself, I can appreciate the vibe of this GT3 with Touring Package. With my current tax bracket situation, probably not in the cards for me anytime soon but I am in Southern California right now driving the heck out of this one, and can report to you that it is indeed a magical machine. Loads of grip, lots of front end feel. Capabilities far above my abilities, all with a personality that makes you want to never stop driving it.”

Same price, no matter which GT3 you choose, starting around $161,000; order yours now, and Porsche will build it for you in the coming months.

We’ll have more on the 2022 Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package soon, so keep it locked on MotorWeek.
