2023 Cadillac Lyriq
The transition has officially begun! This 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ marks the first of what is soon to be an all-electric lineup for GM’s luxury brand.
It’s certainly one of the best-looking Cadillac’s we’ve seen in some time; long, low, progressive, and definitely new money. Goodbye art and science welcome back gorgeous.
Featuring the same Ultium platform we first sampled on GMC’s Hummer EV Pickup, initial LYRIQs will be rear-drive only, with a 102-kWh battery pack providing energy for 340-horsepower, and will deliver a range of 312-miles. Dual-motor all-wheel-drive, with 500-horsepower will be available next year.
Throwing it back to the ELR, the LYRIQ features a Regen-On-Demand paddle too, though it has been upgraded to provide more progressive braking, but by far the biggest crowd-pleaser inside will be the 33-in curved LED display.
“It’s really difficult to not be distracted by that massive screen, but once you get past that, and pay attention to what the LYRIQ is actually like to drive, it’s easy to get just as caught up in the seamless powertrain, and the effortless way this car glides down the road.”
It may look like a show car, or perhaps a 6-figure showpiece, but Cadillac is serious about getting these cars out there, and has priced the 2023 Cadillac LYRIQ at just $63,000; with deliveries beginning this summer.
We’ll have plenty more on the Cadillac LYRIQ real soon, right here on MotorWeek.
