The fully-electric era of Cadillac has begun, with the official launch of the Cadillac LYRIQ. Well, not quite, as it won’t go on sale for another 2-years.  But, Cadillac says this 2-dimensional concept is 80% production true.

This attractive clean sheet design, not only debuts GM’s new modular electric vehicle platform, and their Ultium propulsion system; but brings to life Cadillac’s new design direction, and introduces a whole slew of technologies including augmented-reality Head Up Display, Enhanced Super Cruise, and a 33-inch LED display with the highest pixel density of any automotive screen to this point.

Expect battery range to be 300-miles plus, near silent operation in rear or all-wheel-drive, and the true indulgent driving experience that Cadillac has been missing for some time.

We’ll have more on the Cadillac LYRIQ as additional details are released.

Until then, stay safe out there and keep it locked on MotorWeek.
