This week we’re tacklin’ the trail in the 2014 Kawasaki Teryx.  Side by sides have come a long way in recent years, and the Teryx is at the forefront of that rapid developmental growth.

Performance is up in all areas over the previous two-seater Teryx, from the fuel-injected V-twin engine that grows from 749 to 783cc, yet gets 20% better fuel economy, to the suspension that features new Fox Podium piggyback reservoir shocks.

BRIAN ROBINSON: The cool thing about the Teryx is you do have all of that performance, but you still have the utility as well. You've got the bed back here, you've got the storage boxes for camping gear or for getting chores done around the property.

At least that’s what you can tell the wife if that’ll help.

The frame has been redesigned for increased strength, there’s more room in the cockpit, and of course it’s all wrapped in some aggressive new bodywork.

We’ll have more on the new Teryx soon, so keep it locked on MotorWeek.
