For many years now, it’s been hard to find many good things to say about the Chrysler 200, and sales numbers have certainly reflected that.

Well, that’s about to change as the 2015 edition may just be the “Comeback Player of the Year”.

Our spring training drive time took place in Sonoma County, California, and while the new 200 might not quite be ready for the wine and cheese set, there’s a lot less for us to wine about.

Based on the Dodge Dart and Jeep Cherokee chassis, the 200 is a smooth rolling sedan that drives as good as it looks.

The design itself is very classy looking; contemporary enough to draw eyes, but not so radical that it won’t age well.

Inside there’s plenty to make the 200 a whole lot more attractive to buyers, from a slick center console, to some sweet looking gauges.

We’ll have lots more on the 200 in the coming weeks, so keep it locked on MotorWeek.
